Why Haiti and the CAR ?

Let’s Talk About Haiti

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, and it is also the third largest country in the Caribbean. Unfair labor practices are prevalent in the country, and the majority of people are jobless. One in 50 people in Haiti is affected with HIV/AIDS. Haitian children are prone to premature death, as more than 10% of them die before reaching the age of five. Half of its children are unvaccinated. Anemia is common among young children. The majority of Haitians’ income is spent on food. Access to amenities is neither readily available, nor affordable.

The CAR

Very few people in the Central African Republic have access to affordable, quality health care. Years of instability within their society has only worsened this situation.

Malaria, tuberculosis, nutritional diseases, HIV/AIDS, and STDs are just a few of their major healthcare problems. Our presence has never been more critical; we exist to provide much needed health care to these dear people. Click below to learn more.
